Love the food! I came for a late lunch with friends on a Friday afternoon and it wasnt busy. Was seated right away and the wait staff were very friendly and took the time to explain the menu. My friends and I ordered a large serving of their Caesar's Salad and then proceeded to order their humungous Chicago style Pizza, the Masa Special which was recommended. It was a delightful experience. I am going to be back. The only hassle here is the parking availability. Otherwise, what a gem in the middle of busy Echo Park!

Love the homey feel to this spot, it feels like I'm at the house of a loved one and they treat you like that as well! I didn't have the time to commit to the deep dish but I will be back specifically to have that soon. Great service from our waiter! Perfect place for lunch with a friend

Visited this spot with a couple friends and it was the perfect place to catch up. When they sit you down, they recommend you to put in your order for the deep dish pizza as soon as possible as it takes 45 minutes. The wait is totally worth it. We ordered the California deep dish and it did not disappoint. We also ordered a round of mozzarella sticks that came out delicious. They also have a wide selection or cocktails and wine. This is definitely a spot to check out if you have vegan, vegetarians and meat eaters as there is something on the menu for everyone.

By far one of my favorite pizza spots. Dim lighting for that classic Italian ambiance!! Nice beer and wine menu. I've only tried the Chicago deep dish but daaaamn it is straight Gas. Takes like 45 mins to cook so They tell you to order one after u put your name on the waitlist. A medium easily weighs like 8 pounds! Eat it with a knife and fork and chase it down with a cold beer. Super flex is they have vegan options for The wife so any place we can both eat and enjoy is a 10/10. A must try in LA

It can be hard to find good pizza in LA but Masa in Echo Park definitely provides a solution. If deep dish pizza is your thing, or you just find yourself craving a delicious, super cheesy, filling slice of pizza, then this is the place for you. The deep dish pizza is crispy yet soft underneath, the sauce is excellent, and there must be at least a pound of cheese on this thing. The crust is flaky and tastes almost buttery. We got the pizza with pepperoni and red peppers but you can add whatever toppings you want or get one of their pre-made pies. It came delivered with Parmesan and some red pepper flakes. One deep dish pie probably serves 2-4 people depending how hungry you are. It was so good I personally got through 3 out of 8 slices and was left super full. My pizza craving was fully satisfied after this pizza. I was pleased that it held together enough to eat it by hand but if you so choose you could also go knife and fork style. I loved that there were plenty of toppings, enough that you could taste them in each bite, and the pizza had a good ratio of dough to sauce to cheese. Excited for the next time I order from them.

Masa is an Echo Park staple that I love visiting. The restaurant has a cozy, familial feel. They're best known for their authentic Chicago-style deep dish pizzas. I've also tried deep dish when I was actually in Chicago, but I thought Masa's was way better. I've gotten it both as take out and while dining in. Just be prepared to wait about 40 min or so since those thick pies take a while to cook. When I don't have the time for the deep dish pizza, I've ordered other items on thr menu and they're just as good! This time we got the meatball sandwich, mozzarella sticks, and mixed green salad. I really loved the mozzarella sticks. The breading was crunchy and so flavorful. And the melted mozarella inside gave the perfect cheese pulls! I'm always looking for the best cannoli, so we ordered one for dessert. Masa's is definitely one of my favorites! The filling is sweet, creamy, and I love the amount of chocolate chips they used. I really wish I had a bigger appetite so I could try their other desserts too because they all sound so yummy!

Yuuuuuuum! Everything I tried at Masa was incredibly delicious from the California Caprese to the cannoli! Including avocado in the traditional Caprese salad was so unique and the flavors I've always needed. The bread was fresh from the oven. The pizza was true to Chicago Tavern style pizza and named after streets in the neighborhood. I finished my meal with a cannoli and a box for all of the leftovers from the generous portions. I sat at the bar and, talked to the owners a bit. The staff was friendly, helpful and attentive. The whole place had a homey feel that you often miss in the big city. A true gem in the echo Park neighborhood.
